Enhancing Student Understanding of Current Technology Methods by use of a Wiki

An Action Research Project investigating how a building a simple Wiki from simple technical beginnings enhances student understanding at UAL’s Creative Computing Institute.

I am conducting an action research project that seeks to explore how a dynamic and reflective wiki can enhance student understanding of current technology methods. The focus is on improving the wiki’s content, usability, and accessibility based on feedback from academic staff. The goal is to create a valuable educational resource that supports diverse learning needs and promotes inclusivity.

The methodology involves qualitative interviews with student-facing staff members from the institute. My hope is that these interviews will provide insights into the current usage of the wiki, potential improvements, and strategies to support diverse learning styles and can then suggest changes to the wiki with the results for the future and that this research is repeated periodically.

The questions were specifically designed to look at specific perspectives. Two interviews were conducted, transcribed and reflected up on.
